The MPU-6500 is a 6-axis Motion Tracking device integrating a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a Digital Motion Processor™ (DMP), all housed in a compact 3x3x0.9mm QFN package. The device features programmable full-scale ranges for both the gyroscope and accelerometer, low-power modes, and factory-calibrated sensitivity. It supports both I2C and SPI communication interfaces, with a 512-byte FIFO buffer for efficient data handling. Additional features include an embedded temperature sensor, low noise, 10,000g shock tolerance, and a low operating current. The MPU-6500 is ideal for motion-based applications in consumer electronics and portable devices.
